Terror from Paradise
Ripped from the headlines, Terror from Paradise provides the classroom science/forensics teacher with a real life simulation of the complications involved in weeding out terror before it can exact a toll on innocent individuals.
Paula Primetime, the Emmy award winning
journalist gives a simulated TV news report on the heightened security at the
airport and conducts a personal interview with the terrorist leader, Gore Nihil
at his secret base in the mountains of Franistan.
Students perform tests that have become customary in the fight against terrorist plots.
Students are familiar with “sniffers” used at airports to screen carryon
luggage for explosives.
In this simulation, they test for the presence of C4, toxic poisons and a
deadly bacterium Thetacoccus.
Voice print testing and
fingerprint analysis round out the interactive role students play in identifying
the terrorist cell bent on the importation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD)
into the US.
